2,3 and 7 for the meme?
2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Tropes are multitudinous, and there are plenty I haven’t tried, so I had to go look at the Big List of Cliches to get an idea of what I’d like to try that I haven’t yet. Anyway, the two sticking out right now are:
High school/College AU: For Hunter x Hunter, mainly so I can write happy Kaito/Pitou. (PRETTY MUCH THIS IS THE ONLY REASON, although happy Meruem/Komugi is also a bonus.) Yes, super cliche.
Parallel universes: Pretty desperate to write one for Kuroko no Basuke, but it’s a longfic, and I have too many KnB longfics already…..
Also, I would totally write mpreg if I could live it down. I HAVEN’T FIGURED OUT HOW TO WRITE IT AND LIVE IT DOWN YET.
3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
I’m not a smut writer, so most of the smut-oriented tropes are out of my range.
7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
I am going to go suuuuuuper obscure here:
This is the truth: when Chronos killed the pet cat it still had seven lives remaining; blood washes out with bleach and scrubbing and even guilt can be forgiven; but yourself, that is the thing that never goes away, that continually wants to resurrect inside of you.
This comes from the tracks of train heartnet, written years ago for one of those ‘Write fifty single-sentences’ challenges. Yes I know there’s TWO SEMICOLONS IN THIS THING, STOP JUDGING ME.
I’m proud of this challenge because I CANNOT BELIEVE I FINISHED IT, IT WAS THE WORST, I’D RATHER DO AN ENTIRE BIG BANG THAN DO A ONE-SENTENCE CHALLENGE AGAIN. SO MUCH PUNCTUATION WAS TORTURED IN THE FINISHING OF THIS THING.
